A Working tirelessly for someone else.
Q What do you think women have the most trouble with concerning style/getting dressed?
A Investment pieces- Women often walk away from pieces they love and would wear over and over again in favor of a lesser piece that often makes its way to the back of the closet.
Q What are your inspirations for trends/buying/style?
A I’m a big believer in adapting a trend to fit age and lifestyle.
Q Style philosophy?
A My personal style isn’t fussy- rich colors and soft textures- visually interesting, but not difficult to wear.
Q Favorite designer?
A Too many to choose, however, Isda Funari and Chan Luu are among my favorites.
Q What would you have done if not in the fashion biz?
A Anything to be surrounded by beauty.
Q Favorite color/s?
A Garnet, persimmon, charcoal, espresso, & all things metallic
Q What is your biggest luxury in life (i.e. time, travel, family)?
A Hotels, any chance I get. I am content to nap in a bed filled with down pillows. Grand hotels are an inspiration to me.
Q What do you personally like to buy most (for yourself or others)?
A I really enjoy buying scarves. Cashmere/silk blends are my favorites and they make great gifts!
Q What are you most proud of?
A My daughter, my marriage and myself. I am not lucky (I’ve worked very hard), but I have been blessed.
The story of Koze
I began Koze in 2005 after moving to Tiburon with my husband. One evening after a full day of house hunting, we attended a popular community event known as Friday Nights On Main. As we dined al fresco, I noticed an empty storefront. I walked over and pressed my nose against the window – it was the perfect location! The next morning I polished my business plan and not long after Koze was born.
After 15 years of working for others, I took the biggest step of my career. Koze opened December 2005 and I haven’t looked back since. Some things are meant to be.
